Biography
Ed Reynolds is a painter who explores the fundamental principles of light, perspective, form and atmosphere in his work. He is a highly energetic artist, dedicated to the artistic process and quality. Thorough, in the design and presentation of any commission, paying particular attention to preparation and professional artistic practice. Ed is also a multi-instrumentalist and regularly exhibits his musical compositions and field recordings with his paintings.
Artist’s Statement
I find my muse in the ever-changing world that unfolds before me. My journey is a constant exploration of light, atmosphere, and my surroundings. Whether I’m perched on a bustling street corner or nestled along a serene shoreline, I strive to make the ordinary a little more extrordianary.
By painting on location, I immerse myself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the environment. This direct connection allows me to infuse my paintings with the very essence of the moment. I paint not only what I see but also what I feel, creating a bridge between the tangible and the intangible.
